The Ramayana tells the story of Rama, the ideal king and prince of Ayodhya. Born to King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya, Rama was destined to be the greatest warrior and ruler. However, due to a boon granted to his stepmother Kaikeyi, Rama was exiled to the forest for fourteen years along with his devoted wife Sita and his loyal brother Lakshman. During their exile, the demon king Ravana, ruler of Lanka, became enchanted with Sita's beauty and abducted her. This act of injustice set the stage for an epic battle. Rama, with the help of the monkey king Hanuman and his vast army, crossed the ocean to Lanka. In a fierce battle, Rama defeated Ravana, rescued Sita, and returned to Ayodhya to be crowned king. The Ramayana teaches profound lessons about dharma (righteousness), duty, loyalty, and the triumph of good over evil. Rama's unwavering commitment to truth and justice, even at great personal cost, makes him the ideal role model for humanity.
